Morgan & Phelps portrait commission Gallagher

"Morgan & Phelps" was commissioned by a private collector in New York City.  He had seen my dog paintings in Gray's Sporting Journal magazine.  He graciously paid for amy travel to Manhattan, NY to personally meet his English Setters.  I took numerous photographs of them and created a small painting of each dogs head/face to capture eye color and their differences.  The preferred scene is New York Central Park where they ventured for walks.  After three wonderful days in New York City, I returned home to creat this painting in my studio.  The owner was very happy with the original images of his beloved dogs and the colorful fall colors.
