"Flushers & Pointers" Buddy & Fergus

Buddy & Fergus are hunting companions to the owner of this painting.  The publisher of "Art of the West" magazine commissioned me to create a hunting scene with both dogs.  They live in the "Land of a thousand lakes" Minnesota where the red oak turns beautiful colors in the fall.  So I included the trees, water and even a pheasant hiding in the grasses.  We were fortunate to visit Minnesota recently and found it to be a beautiful state.
